1. Introduction
Welcome to Ruppy Khata. By accessing or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Ruppy Khata is a two-way peer connection platform allowing users to generate, view, and settle bills directly.
2. Account Registration & Security
- Registration: You must register using OAuth, email with OTP, or mobile number with OTP (WhatsApp). Mandatory fields including Name and Contact Information must be completed to access the dashboard.
- Device Integrity: To ensure security, our App verifies if you are using a real device. The App will automatically close or reset if it detects a rooted device, emulator, or developer fraud tools.
- Security Keys: You are required to set up a 6-digit PIN. Your security key is saved locally on your device in an encrypted format.
- One Identity: If you log in via email, you must verify your mobile number, and vice versa.
3. Usage Rules & Restrictions
- No Self-Billing: You are strictly prohibited from creating bills for yourself.
- Scanner Limits: Scanning QR codes is subject to cooldown periods (e.g., 5 minutes after use) to prevent spam.
- OTP Limits: There is a cooldown for OTP resends (3 minutes) and a daily limit of 3 attempts.
- Prohibited Content: Usernames must be proper. Uploaded images will be automatically compressed to under 500kb.
4. Payments & Billing
- Peer-to-Peer Nature: Bills generated are visible at the customer's end directly. Payments can be made without visiting the bill generator.
- Verification: Cash and UPI payments (for iOS) require manual verification or UTR upload. You must accurately mark bills as paid/collected.
- Disputes: Users can raise disputes for UPI transfers if the amount is not received. The sender will be notified of the dispute.
- Bill Management: Deleted bills are stored in the Recycle Bin for 7 days before permanent deletion. Restoring bills or skipping reminders may require viewing an advertisement.
5. Subscriptions & Fees
Ruppy Khata offers Free, Silver, and Gold plans. Features such as Stock Management and unlimited scanning are reserved for paid tiers.
- Ad-Supported Features: Free users may be required to watch advertisements to access specific features, such as redownloading cards or premium invoice templates.
- Cancellations: Users can cancel billing for subscription-based bills at any time.
- Refunds: All payments for subscription plans are subject to the platform's standard refund policies.
6. Account Termination
You may delete or deactivate your account via the Settings menu. Deactivation lasts for 30 days, after which your data is permanently deleted. We reserve the right to block users who engage in fraudulent activity or misuse the "Block" feature without valid reason.
7. Limitation of Liability
Ruppy Khata serves as a ledger tool. We are not a bank and do not hold funds. We are not liable for unpaid bills, failed UPI callbacks, or disputes arising from cash transactions between peers.
