To provide our two-way ledger services, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Identity: Name, Mobile Number, Email Address (Mandatory). Secondary contact details may be required for verification.
  • Financial Data: UPI IDs and GST Numbers (Optional) to facilitate payments and invoicing.
  • Profile Images: Avatars uploaded by users, which are automatically compressed to ensure performance.
  • Contacts: Client nicknames and relationship details (Clients List).

2. Device Permissions & Security

We require specific permissions to ensure the app functions correctly and to prevent fraud:

  • Device Verification: We access device information to verify if you are using a real device. The app will not function on rooted devices or emulators.
  • Camera: Required for scanning QR codes on Profile Cards and physical cards.
  • Storage: Required to save invoices (PDFs) and store encrypted security keys.
  • Location & Notifications: To secure your account and send real-time bill updates.

3. Data Security & Encryption

We take your security seriously. Your sensitive data is handled with the highest standards:

  • Local Key Storage: User security keys are saved locally on your device in an encrypted format.
  • Biometric Protection: High-risk actions (deleting bills, removing fines) require Biometric or Passcode verification.
  • Authentication: We use OAuth, Email OTP, and Mobile OTP (WhatsApp) for secure login.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services:

  • Recycle Bin: Deleted bills are stored for 7 days in the Recycle Bin, after which they are permanently removed.
  • Account Deletion: You may deactivate your account via settings. After a 30-day deactivation period, your data will be permanently deleted.

5. Third-Party Services

Ruppy Khata uses third-party services for monetization and payments:

  • Advertising: We display Banners, Native Ads, and Rewarded Interstitial ads. These partners may collect anonymous data to show relevant ads.
  • Payments: We utilize deep linking for UPI apps. We do not store your banking passwords; transaction confirmations are handled via callbacks or UTR uploads.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our app features (such as future inventory management or credit scoring). We encourage you to review the "Privacy Policy" section in the app settings regularly.
